Self-employed for 32 years.

Built first energy efficient home in 1978 for Rockford Architect, Charles Barr.  The home won an AIA (Architectural Institute of America) award for Mr. Barr and was featured in “Better Homes and Gardens” magazine.

Designed and built my own personal home in 1982.  All of the utility needs were provided by electricity.  Using leading energy conservation strategies, and off peak electricity utility costs averaged less than $50.00 per month.
